Three years and the Woodies are still going hard (heh heh). You can thank mtvU for that, as well as for making every sentence mentioning the awards show/concert event impossibly awkward since 2004.

2006's ceremony, which is set to be recorded on October 25 at New York's Roseland Ballroom, will feature live performances from Beck, TV on the Radio, Imogen Heap, and Gym Class Heroes, with additional acts on the way. The tape will air November 2 on mtvU and mtvU.com, with an edited version appearing November 4 on MTV.

The Woodie winners, which are decided by online voter polls (deadline to have yr say is October 20), will be drawn from a slew of nominated artists including the Arctic Monkeys, Gnarls Barkley, Imogen Heap, Lupe Fiasco, Gogol Bordello, Lady Sovereign, Wolfmother, Feist, the Raconteurs, Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins, Ghostface Killah, Fiona Apple, Gorillaz, and many more.
