Birdmonster, step aside. Time to meet the real thing: A creature with wings that zaps Malajube members and turns them into zombies. Yes midnight!

The birdmonster in question appears in the Carnior-directed video for the Trompe-l'oeil track, "Fille à Plumes", but that's not the only Malajube video treat we've discovered. Two additional Malajube clips, both directed by Louis Philippe Eno and produced by NúFilms, also surfaced within the past week. The first, for Trompe-l'oeil's "Pâte Filo", brings out the connecter-of-dots and painter-by-numbers in all of us, as well as the lover of sea animals, bugs, comic book panels, skeletons dancing, knives falling from a rainbow, bar graphs, and pie charts.

The second Eno short, for "Montréal -40° C", begins with the band bundled up, playing outside. (It is cold out, after all.) Once again, drawings take over-- angry polar bears, smoke stacks, outer space, cartoon creatures, more dancing skeletons-- you name it. The most impressive aspect of the video, however, is when these sketches begin to interact with flesh-and-blood human beings. Ex: a fake stork drops a fake baby into a real-life woman's real-life stroller.
