Is it me or do the men of Mastodon look a bit "Lost" in this video for Blood Mountain's "Colony of Birchmen"? We've got mysterious, Others-like figures stalking us through the foliage, a black, wispy cloud thing, and the band looking as though they've playing in a subterranean space hollowed out to build the infamous "hatch."

Thankfully, directors Jonathan Rej and Tom Bingham kick things up a notch with some more original elements, including awesome morphing animation, and an actual fucking blood moun-- er, well, molehill. It still doesn't come remotely close to capturing the ferocity these guys bring live, but then, let's be honest, neither does this particular song.
