As Lady Sovereign recovers from her chest infection, remember what the good ol' mean, sassy, Sov sounds like (rather than the sick, crying Sov) with this cover of the Sex Pistols' "Pretty Vacant". Yes, this is the song from the "O.C." soundtrack, The OC Mix 6: Covering Our Tracks, due out December 5 on Warner Bros.

It begins with a scream that sounds like a cat being strangled, then launches into a goofy marching beat so tinny it sounds like it's leftover from Sov's bedroom recording days. She doesn't change the lyrics at all, just attacks them with her signature style, adding a few "OI! OI! OI!"s at the end.
