New Pornos Announce Limited Edition Live Album

New Pornos Announce Limited Edition Live Album

New Pornographers fans-- get thee to Australia, stat! The band is selling a very limited edition (1000 copies) live album, creatively titled LIVE!, at their shows, as they have been since October.

The disc, a collection of tracks culled from the gang's September 2005-March 2006 tour, will also be on sale on the group's upcoming (and previously reported) jaunt through Australia and Japan. Fans outside these geographical regions can sign up for the New Pornographers' mailing list for information regarding LIVE!'s online sale (assuming it doesn't sell out on the road).

The New Pornographers' follow-up to 2005's Twin Cinema (Matador) is, as mentioned earlier this year, slated for a June release. Also, their video for "Sing Me Spanish Techno" has been nominated for one of MTV2's favorite clips of 06. Vote for it here.

And speaking of award nominations, we'd like to remind you that Neko Case and her album Fox Confessor Brings the Flood are up for four PLUG Awards. Categories include Album of the Year, Americana Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Female Artist of the Year.

Case currently has two shows scheduled-- an early show and a late show at New York's Lincoln Center on February 23.

Hello, Blue Roses, Dan Bejar's project with girlfriend/visual artist/Bonaparte bandleader Sydney Vermont, have an album in the works, and hope to finish it by April. Word is Bejar will also get moving on the follow-up to this year's critically acclaimed Destroyer's Rubies sometime in the near future. Finally, Todd Fancey aka just Fancey will release his sophomore album, Schmancey, in the spring of 2007.
