California? More like Califone-ia, OHHH!

That's right, the esteemed Thrill Jockey quartet heads to the Golden State this May for a string of shows, then hits up some of indie rock's more unappreciated Western cities-- like Reno, Nevada and Bend, Oregon-- in the subsequent days. That rootin' tootin' Califone caravan will wind its way northward, then inexplicably hightail it to scenic Wisconsin for a pair of cheesehead gigs.

Tim Rutili and company tour these states in support of last year's still-lovely Roots & Crowns, which landed at a very respectable #27 on Pitchfork's Top Albums of 2006 list.
