Sufjan Stevens traded his pen for those kooky wings this past weekend, bringing his army of butterflies to Grand Rapids' Calvin College for a pair of sold out shows. We like the shades, although we're a bit unsettled by the Supermans, which look an awful lot like that inflatable auto-pilot from Airplane!.

Sufjan plays the MusicNow festival at Cincinnati's Memorial Hall on April 7, while a string quartet premieres arrangements from Sufjan's Chinese calendar paean Enjoy Your Rabbit as part of the fest's opening night, April 5.
