Sure, those pictures we showed you earlier today of My Brightest Diamond playing with cool cats Akron/Family and Miho Hatori in Brazil were neat and all, but not every bill can be so bucolic and below-the-radar. Shara Worden and the rest of MBD will bring their lovely antics on tour with the puzzling (but popular!) pizzicato powerhouse Rasputina this summer, in an explosion of "classically trained" proportions.

Rasputina have a new album out on June 26 titled Oh Perilous World (because "Inverted" was taken). They're on the road all summer, with none other than the home-free Jana Hunter supporting in July, before My Brightest Diamond take over.

In other My Brightest Diamond news, old girl busted her shit up pretty bad a few weeks back, though by the looks of the Resfest snaps, she's gonna live to swoon another day. Broken leg or not, Worden can be confident in the knowledge that Sufjan will carry her.
