Andrew Bird Adds More Dates

Andrew Bird Adds More Dates

Is it his Midwestern get-up-and-go? Some special power held in those pursed lips? Or is Andrew Bird just unwilling to let a single fan go without a little ornithology? In any case, that Andrew Bird gets around; and he's currently getting around Europe on a string of dates without a frayed end in sight.

Bird's got big plans for his first show back in the States; he'll warm up those unruly Decemberists fans at Colin and company's big-time stop at the Hollywood Bowl. The dates get a little spottier after that, with a trek back to the UK and few scattered North American shows besides, but knowing Andy, we can safely say he's working on ways to make us type up more venue names right this instant.

Those unable to make it out can listen to Bird's show at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC on May 20, which is up on NPR's website now. Or, tomorrow night, catch his show at the Paradiso in Amsterdam streaming live on Fabchannel.

In other Bird news, he's among the elite few to throw a track down for a good cause on the Trials of Darryl Hunt soundtrack , which you can hunt down yourself August 7. Before that, though, there's dates. Many, many dates.
