Mars Volta's Rodriguez-Lopez Lets Loose Bufalo
Whereas most folks wandering around Amsterdam limit their prolificacy to the number of brownies they can cram into their mouths, Mars Volta guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's year in the Netherlands resulted in four full-length albums.
One such platter, Se Dice Bisonte, No Bufalo, will see the light of day May 29 from Gold Standard Laboratories. The disc, a mostly-instrumental jam-fest featuring a few Volta members and Money Mark Ramos-Nishita, also sports the Volta's live fave "Rapid Fire Tollbooth" and a spin on "Please Heat This Eventually" from the EP of the same name, sans the pipes of Can vocalist Damo Suzuki.
Se Dice Bisonte, No Bufalo:
01 The Lukewarm
02 Luxury of Infancy
03 Rapid Fire Tollbooth
04 Thermometer Drinking the Bussness of Turnstiles
05 Se Dice Bisonte, No Bufalo
06 If Gravity Lulls, I Can Hear the World Panting
07 Please Heat This Eventually
08 Lurking About in a Cold Sweat (Held Together by Venom)
09 Boiling Death Request a Body to Rest Its Head On
10 La Tirania de la Tradicion
