Already home to Evangelicals, Dirty Projectors, Bishop Allen, and Iran, Secretly Canadian/Jagjaguwar-allied imprint Dead Oceans continues its winning ways with the unveiling of new signing the Beach Boysthe Explorers Club.

God only knows what this South Carolina sextet has been doing since 1966, because they certainly haven't been listening to any music released since then. Gigging out since July 2005, the Explorers Club consists of principal songwriter/arranger Brian WilsonJason Brewer, along with rosy-cheeked, ace harmonizers/instrumentalists James Faust, Nathan Hussey, and David Ellis, organist Stefan Rogenmoser, and drummer Neil Thomas.

Dead Oceans plans to release an Explorers Club single this fall, with a full length to follow in 19672008. Sample a sunny 7" tune called "Last Kiss", mixed by Stuart Sikes (Cat Power, the White Stripes), below.
