YYYs' Zinner on First Psychic TV Album in 12 Years

For those who wish their music were just a bit cult-ier, boy have we got news for you. Psychic TV-- presently known as PTV3, also known as Genesis Breyer P-Orridge's post-Throbbing Gristle agitation act-- return June 12 with their first studio album since 1995's Trip Reset.
Hell Is Invisible...Heaven Is Her/e sees life courtesy of Cargo Records' Sweet Nothing imprint, and we can't even attempt to explain it, let alone understand its myriad layers of genius/quackery. We do know this much: Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Nick Zinner contributes guitar to "Lies, and Then", while Butthole Surfer Jerome "Gibby" Haynes sings on "Maximum Swing" and "I Don't Think So".
PTV3 refers to the current incarnation of Psychic TV, which includes Genesis, keyboardists Markus Persson and Lady Jaye Breyer P-Orridge, guitarist David Maxxx, drummer Morrison Edley, bass guitarist/vocalist Alice Genese, and visual artist Nicolas Jenkins. Hell Is Invisible is technically the inaugural release from PTV3, who've been active in present form for some two years now.
Some more food for thought: according to the book of Genesis (i.e., the press release), "All of the experiences [on Hell Is Invisible] unfold viewed through the magickal lens of Pandrogeny."
What in the invisible hell is Pandrogeny, you say? Why, it's the "core philosophical system of PTV3," which "aim[s] to celebrate similarities in humans rather than be at the mercy of fear of differences as the only viable path to a unified evolution of the human species. From human to humane, where E stands for evolution."
Genesis' own evolution has involved various cosmetic surgeries to help his/her body match that of his/her soulmate, Lady Jaye (who's had such surgeries as well). According to Cargo Records' website, Genesis and Lady Jaye's "end is to create a hermaphroditic entity called Breyer P-Orridge." So, there you have it.
And if you want to witness firsthand what that's all about, catch PTV3 as they play a few U.S. dates this summer.
Finally, it's been quite a comeback year for Mr./Ms. Genesis, who hit us with the first Throbbing Gristle studio album in 25 years (the ass-kicking Part Two: The Endless Not) a few months back.
