Clipse Opening for Modest Mouse on Coney Island!?
One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?
a.) Modest Mouse
b.) Band of Horses
c.) Love as Laughter
d.) Clipse
And yet, all four of the above acts-- Modest Mouse, Band of Horses, Love as Laughter, and Clipse-- play a Bowery Presents event at Coney Island's Keyspan Park on August 8. Perhaps this is just the beginning of a beautiful friendship? Or at least the makings of a "We've Got Everything for Cheap" mash-up.
Although it's now nearly impossible to imagine them apart, Modest Mouse and Clipse do in fact have quite a few dates separate from one another-- with the latter of course playing the Pitchfork Music Festival. Those gigs are recapped for your convenience below.
