Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings Back With LP, Tour
After spending the two years since the release of Naturally lending their talents to collaborations with and samples for the likes of Kanye West, Lou Reed, Lily Allen, Ghostface Killah, They Might Be Giants, Rufus Wainwright, and Amy Winehouse, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings will return to releasing records under their own name on September 25. The soul group's new album is titled 100 Days, 100 Nights, and it will come out on their own Daptone Records.
As previously reported, Jones will join Lou Reed on his upcoming European Berlin tour from June 18 through July 12. Before that, she'll perform at two shows in New York City with Booker T. & the MG's, and after the Berlin shows, she'll kick into the full-on Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings tour, which starts July 14 in Brooklyn.
