Mary Timony Teams With Garland of Hours for LP, Tour

Garland of Hours, the pet project of Amy Domingues-- the Washington, DC scene's hippest cellist-- has teamed up with fellow scene mainstay Mary Timony for the second full-length Garland of Hours release, The Soundest Serum. The record has been out on Domingues' own Noble Task Records since May 15, but was recently picked up by Dischord Records for distribution. The nine-track album is, of sorts, a returning of favors, as Domingues recently resined up for Timony's The Shapes We Make.

Garland of Hours have a few tour dates on the agenda, and Ms. Timony has some of her own to knock out over the next few weeks as well, culminating with a gig in the cradle of democracy this Sunday, June 17. Hmmm, Garland of Hours have a show in DC that same night. Is Timony pulling double duty, or is this all mere coincidence? Nah, it's double duty; Mary will join Domingues on the Garland of Hours dates.
