Richard Hawley Preps Lady's Bridge LP, Tours UK
Swank, sophisticated, swoon-worthy; these are just some of the words one might use to describe former Pulp and Longpigs guitarist Richard Hawley. And that's just the ones that start with "s"!
Hawley is set to issue his fifth solo set, Lady's Bridge, August 20 in the UK and October 2 in the U.S. thanks to Mute. The album, an elegiac ode to Hawley's native Sheffield, England, follows up 2005's stately Mercury Prize nominee Coles Corner.
Hawley's got a few UK dates sandwiched between the album's intercontinental release dates, which oughta be spry, seductive, and, uh, great.
