Les Savy Fav, Menomena, Besnard Lakes Play Citysol There's very little about New York City's East River (or indie rockers, for that matter) that suggests cleanliness. But July 12-15, the folks at New York-based sun-powered "green energy, arts and education center" Solar One plan to change all that. They're putting on four days of rock shows, art installations, games and other joyous miscellany, running it all on clean energy sources, and calling it Citysol.

The likes of Les Savy Fav, Menomena, the Besnard Lakes, Land of Talk, These Are Powers, O'Death, Dragons of Zynth, and others will help Solar One promote clean energy use while rocking the heck out. Bicycle-powered DJ sets and an "Old Goat Karts Obstacle Course" are among the other highlights of this, the second installment of the festival. Plus, if you "bring your electric bill and switch to a green energy package", you get free beer!
