Photos: The Decemberists with Los Angeles Philharmonic [Hollywood, CA; 07/07/07]
It was a night of over-the-top antics at the Hollywood Bowl this past Saturday, as folk troubadours the Decemberists launched a tour that will have them performing with some of the country's most acclaimed orchestras. Hollywood was the scene for the seafaring troupe's first symphonic spectacle, where the 106-strong Los Angeles Philharmonic amplified the already-expansive sound of the Decemberists' recent album, The Crane Wife.
Joining the symphonic soirée was Chicago's violin virtuoso Andrew Bird and Seattle widescreen rockers Band of Horses. More photos and tour dates for all three acts lie below the fold.
