Photos: Marnie Stern [New York, NY; 07/08/07]

Six-string siren Marnie Stern took the stage before a rapt NYC crowd on Sunday evening, as part of her inaugural tour sans iPod. Joining the unencumbered Stern at the Knitting Factory were Hella's Zach Hill and the Advantage's Robby Moncrieff. The high-energy trio built to a fiery ending, filling the set with technical pyrotechnics and allowing for little banter-- although Stern was giddy when she did chat with the audience. And at one point Stern's dog, Fig, a Yorkie, scampered on stage during a string change (check the too-cute photo!).
Catch Stern, Hill, Moncrieff, and maybe even Fig at a venue near you this summer.
