Hives Stuck Touring North America With Maroon 5
Look thrilled about it
All those late night séances, wishing hives upon those goons in Maroon 5... boy did that backfire in amusing fashion. Maroon 5 will indeed have Hives when they smother North America in a downy pillow of soft rock this autumn, but not the hideous, disfiguring variety you tried to curse them with. If the capital H didn't already tip you off, these Hives come from Sweden, they rock with serious panache, and damned if they don't look good. Quite good.
And so it is, a Maroon 5 tour of the U.S. and Canada with the Hives as support, according to Billboard.com. This mismatched pairing kicks things off in Michigan on September 29, whirls through a bunch of arenas bearing bland-ass corporate sponsor-y names, and finally settles in Vegas November 10. Hate to say we...never saw this one coming?
The Hives, of course, are no strangers to top 40 megastarz-- they already teamed with Timbaland for a track on the latter's Shock Value, and will likely appear on the next Raconteurs disc. They've also been working in earnest on the follow-up to 2004's Tyrannosaurus Hives.
