Nick Cave to Open for Nick Cave
In October, on a string of dates in his native Australia, Nick Cave will perform double duty. Not only will he don the handlebars for a set with his recent blooz-rock abstinence advocates Grinderman, but he'll perch himself behind the grand to open the shows as "Nick Cave solo" alongside his long-running touring band.
Will switching from his gentler eponymous self to the snub-nosed Grinderman prove akin to writing with the wrong hand for Mr. Cave, or will the two sides of his proverbial coin egg each other on? We'll guess the latter, but right now we're too busy picturing Nick reapplying his mustache glue between sets to speculate further.
Grinderman's still got four U.S. dates (including that one with the White Stripes) to go before Nick goes all Face/Off on us. Those dates-- and the ones with two Nicks-- after the jump.
Grinderman:
07-24 New York, NY - Madison Square Garden *
07-25 Chicago, IL - Metro
07-26 San Francisco, CA - Great American Music Hall
07-27 San Francisco, CA - Slim's
