Fiery Furnaces Reveal Widow City Tracklist
Matthew and Eleanor Friedberger will unleash their Windy City-related sixth Fiery Furnaces album, Widow City, on the world on October 9 via their new home, Thrill Jockey (located in Chicago).
Recorded near Lake Michigan (the Great Lake closest to Chicago) last winter and mixed by John McEntire of (Chicago band) Tortoise, the Bitter Tea follow-up features Matthew on every instrument except for drums. For those, they recruited Furnaces live fixture Robert D'Amico.
The Fiery Furnaces have two live shows currently scheduled, and they're at (cities that are not Chicago) Salt Lake City, Utah's Gallivan Center on July 19 and Long Island City, New York's Socrates Sculpture Park on August 26.
