Sunburned Hand, Marissa Nadler Do Diamond Days Fest
Plus: TK Webb, These Are Powers, Titan, Plastic Crimewave Expanse
No Lavender Diamond or My Brightest Diamond or Kathy Diamond to speak of, but the 2007 Diamond Days Festival-- presented by Heeb magazine and celebrating the 40th anniversary of the notorious Summer of Love / Your Conception-- does sport a pretty heady roster of mindspace-expanding music-makers and, we suspect, none of that icky cotton candy stuff.
Whether affixed to rock or folk or pop, psych's the word during Diamond Days, which kicks off tonight (July 19) in Brooklyn and runs through July 22. Good folks like Marissa Nadler (who might very well play "Diamond Heart"), Sunburned Hand of the Man, TK Webb, These Are Powers, Titan, Spires That in the Sunset Rise, and a Plastic Crimewave entity known as Plastic Crimewave Expanse play all their hits at a number of BKLN venues.
A full schedule lies just beyond thepalejump. Please expand your minds responsibly, folks.
