Suicide's Alan Vega, Recoil Issue New Mute LPs
On July 31, Mute Records is set to issue two albums from a pair of gloomy scene veterans. Suicide's Alan Vega brings U.S. audiences to Station, his tenth solo LP, for which he handled all the instrumental duties. Station features such feel-good future classics as "Gun God Game" and "Psychopatha", both in line with his twee-leaning past (kidding!).
Ex-Depeche Mode keyboardist Alan Wilder-- as Recoil-- brings you subHuman, a collaboration of sorts between Wilder, vocalist Carla Trevaskis, and bluesman Joe Richardson. The album comes nearly 20 years after Recoil's debut LP, Hydrology. We're guessing the name Recoil sounded a lot less nü-metal 20 years ago, which, in a way, makes Wilder quite the musical innovator. Thanks, guy.
Station:
01 Freedom Smashed
02 Station Station
03 Psychopatha
04 Crime Street Cree
05 Traceman
06 Gun God Game
07 13 Crosses, 16 Blazin' Skulls
08 S.S. Eyes
09 Why Couldn't It Be You
10 Warrior, Fight Fa Ya Life
11 Devastated
subHuman:
01 Prey
02 Allelujah
03 5000 Years
04 The Killing Ground
05 Intruders
06 99 to Life
