Bottom of the Hudson Bassist Killed in Tour Van Crash

Drummer in critical condition
Bottom of the Hudson Bassist Killed in Tour Van Crash Bottom of the Hudson's summer tour ended tragically yesterday (July 29) as a van carrying members of the band careened off I-40 in central North Carolina following a blowout. According to a report in The Fayetteville Observer, 28-year-old Trevor Butler-- BOTH's bassist-- was killed in the accident, while driver and bandmate William Chesterton Chambers and other passengers were injured.

Butler, reportedly the only vehicle occupant not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the van as it rolled over several times. Newly recruited drummer Greg Lytle also suffered severe injuries; he was flown to Chapel Hill for emergency treatment and is presently in critical condition.

Bottom of the Hudson had just wrapped up a string of dates in support of their latest release, Fantastic Hawk, which came out on Absolutely Kosher earlier this month.
