Blur, Supergrass, Magic Numbers Members Teach Tunes

Used to be, you had to hop in a boat and spend a few seasick weeks just to hear the latest sounds out of the Old World (and let me tell you, the new Mendelssohn kills). Then came the transatlantic cable, radio, airplanes, washing machines, some other stuff, and then, finally...the interwebs.

And now, thanks to the interwebs, not only can you hear and illegally download the latest sounds from our UK brethren, you can also score a lesson in creating said sounds from the sound originators themselves.

That's right, it's Now Play It, a cyberspace tutorial mecca where your fave rockstarz teach you your fave tunes. Look! It's bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree of Blur, here to help you play "Song 2", "Girls and Boys", and "Tender"! And there's two of those lovable scamps from Supergrass, Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey. Or take a lesson from wondersiblings Romeo and Michele Stodart of the Magic Numbers, KT Tunstall, and/or the dudes from Turin Brakes.

And while Thom Yorke, Chris Martin, and David Bowie don't partake, you can still get a handle on their songs thanks to the Now Play It house tutor. Tutorial videos are compatible with everything from Windows Media players to iPods to Sony PSPs and can be downloaded for £3.99 apiece. Beats trolling the web for tabs, I suppose.
