Grand Archives Tour With Minus the Bear
And the Helio Sequence

Seattle-based harmony-mongers Grand Archives will get off the "Torn Blue Foam Couch" in their (not really) "Southern Glass House" and onto the road for a bit of "Sleepdriving". Um, with "George Kaminski". Congratulations, you're now familiar with the band's entire catalog!

Indeed, with but a self-released four-song demo and a Sub Pop contract to their name, the quartet-- which includes former Band of Horses and Carissa's Wierd good-guy Mat Brooke-- will tour the land opening for Minus the Bear and fellow Subpoppers the Helio Sequence. It's like the Pacific Northwest Package Tour Deal of the Century, people.

Following a warm-up September gig at Bumbershoot, the Grand Archives trek begins in earnest October 26 in Chicago. And excepting a few prior spring dates with Modest Mouse, this will essentially be these scene veterans' first full-blown outing as Grand Archives. Wish them well. And look-- they're playing a venue called Glass House! That's totally meta-riffic!

Minus the Bear added a few more dates to their own journey as well, including a stretch of December UK dates.
