Photos: White Williams Tour Diary Part 2
Welcome to the second dispatch from the Girl Talk/Dan Deacon/White Williams tour photo diary extravaganza, covering days 6-8 and spanning Philadelphia, Baltimore, and D.C.
As with the last one, these photos and captions come straight from the eye and pen of Williams. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this installment is brought to you by the word "colorful".
Still more pretty pictures to come, stay tuned!
Day 6: Philadelphia, September 17, 2007
Joe smiles at the color bars projected for testing on the White Williams visuals.
Joe basks in the insanity of artwork made by our friend Chelsea.
Chelsea's mother presents us with her suspicions of the tour.
Chelsea's mother had a 180lb Bullmastiff named Sullivan.
Hayes strings up his guild.
Day 7: Baltimore, September 18, 2007
We stayed with Dan Deacon and his friends. They make really wild t-shirts together as Popcorn the Unicorn. The entire Baltimore crew lives in these two large houses connected by an excavated basement fit for underground shows and social experiments.
We shot this photo as the sun was coming up through a bottle of whiskey.
Andrew vogues for the camera-- WORK!
Day 8: Washington, D.C., September 19, 2007
D.C. was a short drive and we passed the entrance to the National Security Agency.
In D.C. the projections were backlit. As the tour rolls along it's almost as if we are trapped by our own creations.
Dan entertains Kendell at the "merch" table with his shenanigans moments before he entertains the rest of the venue with his other darker shenanigans.
Hayes pays respect to his heroes stemming from past and present-- on a long tour there is nothing wrong with a moment set aside for self reflection.
