Bjork Cancels Another Gig, Throat Ailing
Pöör Björk! After giving her all for the environment over the weekend at Náttúra-- apparently the "largest live music event ever held in Iceland", drawing 10% of the country's population-- it seems another round of some "ongoing throat problems" has befallen the singer, according to her website.
As a result, on the advice of her doctors, she's been forced to cancel her appearance tomorrow (July 2) at Sheffield's City Hall. That's a double bummer for UK Björk fans still reeling from the lady's recent Wild in the Country pull-out (which was due to logistical reasons), and a triple bummer for her Sheffield faithful, since tomorrow's gig was already a makeup date for a postponed May performance.
As a message on her website states, "Björk is extremely disappointed to have to cancel the show and sends her apologies to everyone who had bought tickets." There are no plans to reschedule at this time.
Provided she makes the swift recovery we're all gunning for her to make, Björk will pick up again in Helsinki on July 10. %FULL ARTICLE%
