Dead Science Sign to Constellation, Issue Villainaire
Perhaps you heard the Dead Science's new jam "Throne of Blood (The Jump Off)" over there in Forkcast today and thought, "Gee, this Seattle-based trio's 'prickly art-pop' and 'absurdist nightmare' intrigues me, and I wish to hear more."
With a little patience, intrepid listener, you'll hear a whole lot more. The Dead Science's newfound friends at Constellation Records will issue the band's third long-player, Villainaire, August 26 in Europe and September 2 in the States.
Or, you know, you could just watch science die in front of your very eyes on the trio's forthcoming U.S. tour. The real fun kicks off May 1 in Portland and includes a run of shows with new labelmates Thee Silver Mt. Zion etc., though the Dead Science have a few scattered gigs before all that. They'll also serve as Daniel Johnston's backing band April 17 in their hometown.
