Pink Skull Nab Mirah, Remix Plastic Little on LP
Philly's Pink Skull went from the dome of scene staple Julian Grefe into a fully-formed five-piece a few years ago, and haven't looked back since.
The Quaker City crew seems intent on eradicating the rather specific genre definitions that sometimes pigeonhole dance music, and the list of guest stars and remix fodder on Pink Skull's recently-released debut LP Zeppelin 3 certainly supports that theory. From Plastic Little to Mirah, Spank Rock and Amanda Blank and Ghostface to Man Man associates Icy Demons, Zeppelin 3 crams in the floor-fillers without the help of a Bonham backbeat or a JPJ bassline. The disc arrived earlier this month from Free News Projects.
The Skull will cap the release of Zeppelin 3 with a few live appearances this month, primarily in the greater Pennsylvania region.
Zeppelin 3:
01 Pink Skull: Fuck 'Dead or Canadian', Let's Play 'Homeless Guy or Arthur Baker'!"
02 Pink Skull: "Gonzo's Cointreau"
03 Pink Skull: "Zing Zong"
04 Icy Demons: "1850 (Pink Skull Remix)"
05 Pink Skull: "Get Inside (My Tiny Pyramids)"
06 Plastic Little: "Crambodia [ft. Ghostface Killah, Spank Rock, and Amanda Blank] (Pink Skull Remix)"
07 Pink Skull: "Unicorn Harpoon"
08 Pink Skull: "Sslit"
