Reunited Pharcyde, Tribe Called Quest Rock the Bells
The Rock the Bells tour is hard as hell! Where many other rap tours fail, it excels! It'll battle anybody, and it won't care if you...er, anyway.
Yes indeed, Guerilla Union's traveling summer hip-hop festival has once again topped itself. I mean, look at this lineup!
The big news is, of course, the reunion of the beloved West Coast troupe the Pharcyde and the return of recently reunited icons A Tribe Called Quest. Both Tribe and the Pharcyde will hit each and every stop on this year's Rock the Bells, where they'll be joined by Nas, the mighty Mos Def, up-and-comers Kidz in the Hall, Wale, Jay Electronica, and B.O.B., and the always entertaining Murs.
Rocking the occasional Bell along with 'em are some other names you might recognize: De La Soul, Rakim, Ghostface & Raekwon, Method Man & Redman, Spank Rock, Kid Sister, the Cool Kids, Flosstradamus, Santogold, Dead Prez, and Immortal Technique. Cypress Hill's B-Real, Supernatural, and Scratch will be your hosts at each and every turn.
Rock the Bells 2008 kicks off July 19 in Chicago. Note: Ghostface and Raekwon won't be at that show. They're busy that weekend.
