Polvo Offshoot Black Taj Go Beyonder on New Album

Polvo reissue Exploded Drawing and Shapes on vinyl
Polvo Offshoot Black Taj Go Beyonder on New Album While 1990s indie rock nerds flip out over Polvo's "reformation" and tour, Black Taj are returning with a new full-length to remind us that they share a sizable chunk of DNA with the big P. Guitarist Dave Brylawski and bassist Steve Popson constitute 50% of both bands.

Possibly taking a little inspiration from Blackalicious, Black Taj have titled their second album Beyonder. The quartet will release the sophomore offering via NYC's Amish Records on May 13.

One week earlier (May 6) Touch and Go will reissue Polvo's two most recent albums, 1996's Exploded Drawing and 1997's Shapes, on vinyl. Both packages will come with download coupons for MP3 versions of their respective records. Polvo also have all those reunion dates, including a recently announced spot at that insane, My Bloody Valentine-co-curated ATP.
