If you couldn't quite elbow your way through the crowds at last weekend's Coachella to catch a glimpse of MC Spank Rock and crew talkin' their sweet talk, turns out you didn't miss a thing. It seems mere hours before his scheduled appearance at this year's swelterpalooza, Naeem "Spank Rock" Juwan was forced to hit the emergency room. On Monday, he underwent surgery for a "serious sudden ailment," according to a statement released by his publicist.

Juwan is currently recovering in Palm Springs, forcing the cancellation of his planned appearance this Friday, May 2 at the grand opening of Brooklyn club Studio B's new rooftop area. (Brazilian Girls, the Rub, Chester French, Roxy Cottontail, and 88-Keys are still scheduled to play that event.)

After what we hope is a speedy rebound, Naeem and company will take the stage at a handful of festivals both at home and abroad this summer.
