Lightning Bolt, Les Savy Fav Cap MBV ATP Lineup
From "unfuckingbelievable" to, er, über-unfuckingbelievable? However you choose to colorfully describe the upcoming My Bloody Valentine/All Tomorrow's Parties weekender in upstate New York, it's a whopper, and with the announcement of the final lineup, it's now a Whopper with fries. Fries that taste like heaven.
So who's joining the fest since our last report? You know, joining the likes of Built to Spill doing Perfect From Now On, Tortoise doing Millions Now Living Will Never Die, Thurston Moore doing Psychic Hearts, Meat Puppets doing Meat Puppets II, Mogwai, Shellac, Low, and, um, My Bloody Valentine making their first Stateside live appearance since the George Herbert Walker Bush administration? Try Lightning Bolt, Les Savy Fav, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins, Bardo Pond performing Lapsed, Bob Mould, Patton Oswalt (performing and curating a comedy night), Om, Apse, Alexander Tucker, Le Volume Courbe, Spectrum, Gemma Hayes, and the Wounded Knees.
There will also be films hosted by the Criterion Collection, and "look out for the games room where you'll find Steve Albini at the card table," according to a press release. Oh boy!
Co-curated by MBV and ATP, all this ATP New York insanity takes over Monticello, New York's Kutshers Country Club from September 19-21.
