Daedelus Makes Love to Make Music To on New LP
That Daedelus is a clever chap. Inverting language the way he inverts expectations with his music, he has titled his new album Love to Make Music To. Cheeky!
Love features guest appearances from Paperboy, Michael Johnson, Taz Arnold and Om'Mas Keith of Sa-Ra, 1200 Techniques' N'fa, Erika Rose, and Daedelus' wife Laura Darling(ton).
Ninja Tune won't release Love to Make Music To until July 15 (June 9 in the UK), but a single for album cut "Hrs:Mins:Secs" is available now. A second single, "Make It So [ft. Michael Johnson]", hits digital retailers on June 3 and physical ones in late June on 12" vinyl. It includes a remix by Spank Rock's XXXchange.
Daedelus has two other records in the works: "a romantic electro-acoustic record" with his wife until the Long Lost moniker, and one with his Adventure Time project called Adventure Time in Space. He also has a fair number of tour dates this spring and summer. And, like a lot of people in these pages, he's voting for Obama.
