Casiotone Compiles Film Music on Limited 7"s, Tours

Each and every piece of original music you'll hear in the cutesily-titled indie flick Stay the Same Never Change from director Laurel Nakadate was composed by one Owen Ashworth of the depressingly-titled Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, right down to the rings coming off the mobiles in each character's pocket.
The folks at the lengthily-titled People in a Position to Know Recordings have squeezed a few choice nuggets from Ashworth's score onto a brand new vinyl EP-- the descriptively-titled STSNC Instrumentals 7"-- which is available right this instant for preorder. Only 300 of these puppies were made, and Mr. Ashworth will take quite a few copies on his forthcoming, epically-titled Western States Tour MMVIII, which kicks off next week in Los Angeles.
The rest of Owen's recordings for Stay the Same appear on the alliteratively-titled Town Topic 7" EP, which he released via OIB Records in the UK a few months back. The dude plans to a have a special U.S. version of Town Topic on clear vinyl available for sale on tour.
As for the film, Stay the Same Never Change completed a theatrical run in Kansas City back in March, and a DVD release is being planned.
