Jungle Legends Ragga Twins Compiled

Jungle Legends Ragga Twins Compiled The folks at Soul Jazz have set about the task of collecting a dozen and a half hard-to-find slammers from rave-era jungle/hardcore legends Ragga Twins-- including a pair of solo cuts from Deman Rockers (aka Deman Rocker) that led to the group's formation-- for a new compilation.

And, well, success: Ragga Twins Step Out hits UK shelves June 30 and U.S. ones on July 1. Sporting interviews, rare photos, lots of liner notes, and hot tunes, the new anthology tells the whole story of how Deman Rockers and Flinty Badman met an up-and-coming production team called Shut Up and Dance and forged a powerful new noise in the process. And fans who relish variety are in luck, as they can opt for either a double CD edition of Step Out or a pair of double LP volumes. For more on the comp, check out Dave Stelfox's recent Pitchfork column.
