Ladytron Launch Velocifero North American Tour
Spooky Liverpudlian dance rockers Ladytron kick off their North American tour tonight, which is great news for folks in Edmonton, Alberta with a boogie jones and good news for any ticketholders for the band's upcoming stops. Once the North American leg winds down in early July (after stints at Bonnaroo and Thievery Corporation's Outernational tour), they're off to Europe and then Down Under. Fellow synth nerds Datarock open the North American trek.
But Ladytron fans with internet connections are in luck, for today the world is your Alberta, the internet your Edmonton, and the iTunes store your Starlite Room, and you can hold your very own globe-spanning dance party right this instant. Yup, the new Ladytron album Velocifero is available for purchase in the iTunes store today, some two weeks before its physical release hits shelves June 3 on Nettwerk.
