Melvins Go Nude on New LP, Tour With Big Business
Sludge masters the Melvins will release Nude With Boots, their follow-up to 2006's (A) Senile Animal, on July 8 via Ipecac. Just like the last one, Nude With Boots features not only longtime band members Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover but also both Big Businessmen, Jared Warren and Coady Willis.
Big Business will in fact join the Melvins for a mid-summer U.S. tour, though the Melvins must first play a couple San Francisco shows in June at Jello Biafra's 50th birthday celebration. Until they hit your town, feel free to get excited for the August 26 release of the Fantômas/Melvins Big Band's Live From London 2006 DVD, which features commentary from Buzz, Ipecac co-owner Greg Werckman, and, apparently, Danny DeVito. Considering it's coming out on Ipecac, we can't say we're entirely surprised.
