Silver Apples Embark on U.S. Tour, Drop LP & EP
Looks like last year's "first Silver Apples tour in damn near a decade" experiment went well-- though really, one can reasonably expect anything chief Apple Simeon Coxe tinkers with to be worth his time (not to mention yours).
The electronic/psych pioneer sets off on another tour tonight (June 17) in Chicago, with U.S. dates stretching into July and a stop at Ireland's Electric Picnic festival as well. That fest date may actually prove the lead-in to a September European tour Coxe is plotting, which he'll follow with a Pop Montréal visit in October.
Better bring some extra cash to these shows, as Mr. Silver Apples will be peddling both a tour-only ChickenCoop Recordings LP of remastered tunes entitled Selections and a new Gifted Children Records EP called Gremlins at the merch table.
