Brian Wilson, Feist, TVOTR, Stars Play Ottawa Bluesfest
There'll be plenty of the blues, sure, but when Ottawa Bluesfest engulfs downtown Ottawa's LeBreton Flats Park July 3-13, there'll also be plenty of reason for celebration. The fifteenth annual Bluesfest once again sports a mighty impressive lineup no matter the genre, with good stuff going down pretty much through the entirety of its 11-day run.
Not sold yet? Feast your eyes on this lineup: Brian Wilson, Feist, TV on the Radio, Stars, Ladytron, Jose Gonzalez, Metric, Born Ruffians, Calexico, Jason Collett, Tokyo Police Club, Ray Davies, Richard Thompson, Lucinda Williams, Donna Summer, Dr. John, Orchesta Baobob, Steely Dan, Secret Machines, the Weakerthans, Akon, Bettye LaVette, Budos Band, Hayden, Shelby Lynne, Balkan Beat Box, Taj Mahal, Martha Wainwright, Kathleen Edwards, Plants and Animals, Blind Boys of Alabama, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, the Most Serene Republic, Allen Toussaint, the Acorn, Adrian Belew Power Trio, Fergie, Sean Kingston, Sean Paul, and Wyclef Jean.
And that, my skeptical friend, is but a fraction of what's to come. A far fuller lineup is available at the fest's website... don't go unless you've got some time to browse.
