Giving similar-sized festivals the world over a run for their money, the 2008 edition of Primavera Sound welcomed an enviable assortment of vets and upstarts alike to Barcelona's Parc del Fòrum over the weekend, with nary a bum act on the bill.
The second of the fest's three days, Friday, May 30, witnessed the likes of Cat Power, Sebadoh, Man Man, Bill Callahan, Devo, Fuck Buttons, Ellen Allien, the Go! Team, White Williams, Pissed Jeans, MV & EE (with J Mascis on drums), Bob Mould, Autolux, the Cribs, the Swell Season, plus reunited garage rock legends the Sonics (the Sonics...the Sonics...) and White Williams fanboys Les Savy Fav.
Check out photos from Thursday's festivities here, and stay tuned for shots of Saturday's attractions.
