Morrissey Names New Album, Preps Southpaw Reissue
Just look at him to the left there, so serenely smug in the knowledge of his Ringleader of the Tormentors follow-up and, yet, keeping most of that knowledge to himself. Oh great aging mopester Morrissey, we beseech you! Share with us the secrets of your ninth studio album.
Not content to wait for the man himself to spill the beans, we turn to a report from fan site True to You (via Billboard.com) and confirmed by Moz's publicist. According to the report, the new album has 12 tracks and is called Years of Refusal. You Are the Quarry producer Jerry Finn manned the boards. Years of Refusal will come out in the UK this September via Polydor. A Universal subsidiary will release it in the U.S., but further American release details are currently unavailable.
True to You also reports a UK reissue of Moz's 1995 album Southpaw Grammar on Sony BMG in July. The release will have "remastered audio, three previously unreleased tracks, and new artwork."
Morrissey's new single, "All You Need Is Me", is out today in the UK.
