"Little Bird", welcome to the Animal Collective. Hot on the heels of their Ratatat reworking and those micromixes, said band has gone and remixed said Goldfrapp track for the latter's forthcoming single, "Caravan Girl". Man, between this and that Yeasayer remix, Goldfrapp are all about leaving their music to the mercy of rhythm-happy American weirdos.

"Caravan Girl" decamps to UK shops on June 30 in three fancy formats, all thanks to Mute. The Animal Collective remix of "Little Bird" turns up on the flipside of the 7" version of the single, while those whose tastes tend toward the original can view a live video of Goldfrapp performing "Little Bird" as part of the "maxi CD" edition. "Caravan Girl" itself features on all three formats, naturally, and the video for yet another Seventh Tree jam, "Happiness", bolsters the regular CD version. Collect 'em all!

Goldfrapp have a late spring and summer rife with live activity on the horizon. Catch them next at Romania's Becksperience festival on June 5.
