One imagines the September page on Mogwai's Cuddly Kittens '08 calendar has all but bled through with ink entirely at this point. Not only are the Scottish post-rock vets issuing their Roky Erickson-assisted Batcat EP and sixth LP The Hawk Is Howling that month (both on Matador), but before they see what's left of the kitten on the October page, Mogwai will barnstorm the North American continent with Fuck Buttons in tow.

The high-decibel fun begins September 4 in Seattle and doesn't wrap until the 27th. Mogwai have also snuck a few Button-less new dates in here and there since our last report, so you may just wanna pull out your own Fuzzy Puppy planner and a Sharpie and start making some plans.

As for Fuck Buttons, they've got quite a few gigs on their summer tour itinerary before the big meetup with Mogwai, including their July 19 stop at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago.
