San Diego's Street Scene Festival is just one year shy of its quarter-century anniversary. But all added gravitas (not to mention the lofty expectations!) that big 2-5 can sometimes bring can wait 'til next year. On its 24th, Street Scene's just gonna have a good goddamn time and not worry about it.

This year finds Beck, TV on the Radio, Spoon, Cat Power, the New Pornographers, Justice, Hot Chip, Man Man, the National, Vampire Weekend, Spiritualized, Atmosphere, Tegan and Sara, Tokyo Police Club, Devotchka, Antibalas, the Hives, X, Del the Funky Homosapien, the Night Marchers, Eagles of Death Metal, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Foals, the Muslims, Dengue Fever, Sea Wolf, Does It Offend You Yeah?, MGMT, Cold War Kids, and Ghostland Observatory (what festival aren't they playing?) making the scene, which will splay itself out at a handful of downtown San Diego locales September 19-20.
