Conor Oberst Plots World Tour, Dates With Jenny Lewis
Just weeks before the early August launch of Conor Oberst's forthcoming self-titled solo set, the trembly-voiced, Bright Eye'd troubadour will take to the road for a globe-spanning tour in support of the disc. From South America to North, the UK and mainland Europe to Australia, Conor and company will get you good and familiar with the grooves on Conor Oberst as they rock from the middle of July until the beginning of October.
The heretofore hush-hush coterie known as the Mystic Valley Band-- who helped Conor work up his new set last winter in Mexico-- has been revealed, too, and it's full of your usual suspects: Nate Walcott of Bright Eyes, Team Love recording artist Nik Freitas, Macey Taylor (brother of Maria), Rilo Kiley drummer Jason Boesel, and Alabama rocker Taylor Hollingsworth.
Speaking of Rilo Kiley, frontlady Jenny Lewis will share the bill with Conor and the gang on a few of these dates, as will Evangelicals and ex-Anniversary gal Dri.
Conor Oberst is due August 4 in the UK on Wichita, and August 5 in the U.S. from Merge.
