If you make or spin music involving electronic elements and you're halfway good at it, chances are you played Sónar at some point over the past few days. The massive festival proper swept through various venues across Barcelona from June 19-21, bringing with it the likes of Hercules and Love Affair, Justice, the Field (with band), Diplo, Róisín Murphy, Neon Neon (with Har Mar Superstar), a reunited Yazoo, a reconfigured Bonde do Rolê, A-Trak & DJ Mehdi, Soulwax, Ewan Pearson, Daedelus, Kalabrese, Miss Kittin, Boys Noize, and Flying Lotus (whose Aphex Twin grin must be seen to be believed-- have a look below if you dare), as well as the final performance by Yellow Swans and a unique collaborative set from Best New Music buds El Guincho and Ryan McPhun of the Ruby Suns.
Sónar also programmed a number of industry events and panels, including one featuring Pitchfork's own Ryan Schreiber.
As Barcelona continues to sleep off one huge collective hangover, we present the usual barrage of live photos of the aforementioned acts and more.
