Bright colors and high-energy antics reigned at Brooklyn's McCarren Park Pool yesterday as post-millennial favorite Dan Deacon warmed the crowd for a pair of pre-millennial classics: non-men Devo and the Talking-Heads-rhythm-section- descended Tom Tom Club.
Deacon was up to his usual tricks, performing down among the people and inciting them to form a giant high-five circle and a human tunnel. No word yet whether New Wave Nigel made it out yesterday.
Both Devo and Dan Deacon have a number of additional shows lined up across the summer months.
